Safari test instructions
For the affected Mac Safari 26.2 and iPhone 13 Safari. Use the exact trusted HTTPS test address supplied by the owner after separate authorization. No developer tools needed.
- Choose A and 1 search, then Start. Copy the result or take a screenshot.
- Repeat once with B, then C. Copy before changing mode: changing mode clears the screen.
- Choose 10 searches and repeat A, B and C, saving each visible result if you wish.
- If practical, choose 50 searches for B and C. Each takes about a minute. Stop if the device struggles.
- During a repeated run, try Stop. Press Start to retry from a fresh synthetic position. Try Reset (clears the result), then Start again. Reload the page once and try one search again.
- On iPhone, also background Safari during a run, return, and report the visible outcome. The intended result is a stopped run requiring an explicit Start. It should not silently resume.
If a mode fails, copy its result before Reset or another mode. A failure is useful evidence; do not keep repeatedly straining the device. If Copy is unavailable, take a screenshot.
Only send the copied visible result text or a screenshot to the owner, voluntarily. Do not send games, browser profiles or developer-tool logs. The page records no browser version or user-agent, saves nothing, and never submits results. No accounts or installation required.
A/B use the current threaded Stockfish binary. C uses a new experimental non-pthread binary. Results cannot yet certify Safari compatibility or authorize a production change.
